Mission Statement

The mission of the South Carolina Society of Medical Assistants is to enable medical assisting professionals to enhance and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and professionalism required by employers and patients; protect medical assistants’ right to practice; and promote effective, efficient health care delivery through optimal use of multi-skilled Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs).

Delgates Packet

DELEGATES PACKET NOTICE

 

ATTENTION: SCSMA Officers, Committee Chairpersons and Chapter Presidents!

 

The 2019 South Carolina Society of Medical Assistants, Inc. Annual Conference will be here before you

know it. According to our Policy Handbook, we must distribute the Delegate’s Packet to all Delegates,

Alternates and Officers 30 days prior to the Annual Meeting. If you are an Officer, Parliamentarian,

Committee Chair or Chapter President, you must submit a report for the Delegate’s Packet by the

deadline.

 

ALL REPORTS ARE DUE BY JANUARY 13, 2019

Please submit all reports via email to: tawna5573@yahoo.com

 

NOTE: Any reports not received by the deadline will be omitted from the Delegate’s Packet. For

uniformity, all reports must be typed using the following guidelines and format:

Microsoft Office Word:

Arial

Font size 12

Numbered lines on side of report.

 

Reports should be typed in third person, not using I or we, but using “this committee or committee chair”,

etc.

 

To make numbered lines do the following:

Open a new Word document in the Microsoft Office Word Program on your PC.

Click on File

Scroll down to Page Layout

Click on Line Numbers

Click on Restart each page then OK.

Numbers should appear in the left-hand margin of your document.

 

Please use the following instructions for the header of your report: (EXAMPLE)

As Speaker of the House, this officer attended the Executive Committee Planning Session……

 

CHAPTER PRESIDENTS : Please make sure you send your Chapter report for the Delegate’s Packet

including the accurate names, addresses and phone numbers of the Chapter Officers, Delegates,

Alternate Delegates, Board Member and Alternate Board Member. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE MEMBER

HAS PAID THEIR AAMA 2019 DUES OR THEY CANNOT BE A DELEGATE.
