DELEGATES PACKET NOTICE

Attention: SCSMA Officers, Committee Chairpersons and Chapter Presidents!!

The 2010 South Carolina Society of Medical Assistants, Inc. Annual Conference will be here before you know it. According to our Policy Handbook, the Speaker must distribute the Delegate’s Packet to all Delegates, Alternates, and Officers 30 days prior to the Annual Meeting. It is the Speaker’s responsibility to distribute a complete packet, which means everyone who submits a report to be printed in the Delegate’s Packet must submit their report on time.

All reports are due by January 16, 2010. Please submit all reports via email to: sfdotson@srhs.com or mail them to me on disc to 100 East Wood Street, Suite 301, Spartanburg, SC 29303. NOTE: Any reports not received by the deadline will be omitted from the Delegate’s Packet.

For uniformity, all reports must be typed in Microsoft Office Word; Font: ARIAL; Font Size: 12, with line numbers, in the following format. (EXAMPLE)

How to make numbered lines:

1. Open a New word document in the Microsoft Office Word Program on your PC.

2. Click on file;

3. Scroll down to Page Setup, Click;

4. Click on Margins Tab; Set margins- Top/Bottom/Left / Right: 1’’, Orientation: Portrait

5. Layout: Header 1.0; Footer: 1.0

6. Click on Line Numbers;

7. Check Add Line Numbering: Start at: 1; From Text: Auto; Count by: 1

8. Numbering: restart each page; Check OK.

9. Check OK out of Page Set-Up;

Numbers should appear in the left-hand margin of your document.

Chapter Presidents: Please make sure that when you send your Chapter report for the Delegate’s Packet it is imperative that you send or include the accurate names and addresses of the Chapter Officers, Delegates, Alternate Delegates, Board Member and Alternate Board Member, for packet mailings.
