Mission Statement

The mission of the South Carolina Society of Medical Assistants is to enable medical assisting professionals to enhance and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and professionalism required by employers and patients; protect medical assistants’ right to practice; and promote effective, efficient health care delivery through optimal use of multi-skilled Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs).

-I believe in the principles and purpose of the profession of medical assisting. I endeavor to be more effective.

-I aspire to render greater service.

-I protect the confidence entrusted to me.

Meeting Schedule: 2nd Saturday

April 9: Mononucleosis: Not Just for Teenagers –1.5 CEUs

May 14 – Hand, Foot, and Mouth – 1 CEUs;

picnic – location TBA


No meetings in June and July


August 13: Immunizations Updates – 1.5 CEUs


August 27 – SCSMA Summer Workshop


September 10: TBA


October 8: 6 CEU Fundraiser Workshop


November 12: TBA


December 10 – election and Christmas luncheon

people to serve on the committees for our October Fundraiser
