President's Message

Hello Everyone—

Before we start this new SCSMA year I want to give a big thank you to the Charleston Chapter for a great State Conference!! I also want to extend a welcome the new members of the SCSMA, we are so glad you decided to join our organization. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you while you are learning about the in’s and out’s of our organization.

The main goal I would like for everyone to work on this year locally and on the state level is our membership. We need to contact our members who are not attending the chapter meetings and the state meetings and let them know how much we miss them. Remember Mary Ball, CMA (AAMA) has the membership recruitment/retaining postcards and template that will help you contact these members. Please use this, it has proven to be successful in the past and I know it can be successful again if we utilize the plan.

Our next marketing project will be working at the South Carolina Medical Association Conference in Myrtle Beach April 29 through May 1. If you would like to come and help us work please let Mary Gambrell, CMA (AAMA) know. Her e-mail address is mary-cma@earthlink.net. We have rented a house for those who will be working the SCMA Conference.

I am looking forward to a very productive year and hope that all of you are ready to work hard on keeping our State Society going strong. If we all work together I know we can achieve the goals that have been set for us.
